This artistic birthday card was taken during a trek to a peak overlooking the charred remains of a fire
that reduced parts of the sourthern interior of British Columbia into a moonscape. The
smoking scraggly black remains of one of the trees is visible in the foreground and the
smoke in the air creates a surreal night sky.
