This artistic birthday cards was taken at the end of the summer on the Oregon coast.
It is a picture of innocence, and of a boy and of the sea. The picture conjures happy moments of 50's style imagery of simplicity, mom's apple
pie and family vacations on the beach. It is a tempting ideal. As the world grows
more complicated, convoluted and fast paced, it is comforting to think of a simpler time,
one where our biggests concerns were choosing what toys to bring to the beach.
