This inspirational birthday card is taken in the wilderness of sourthwestern BC.
Soon after this picture was taken, the landscape turned grey with soot and smoke as fires raged through
the area. However for the moment, the day was given to
traquil thoughts and self discovery.
It seemed that something changed between when this picture was taken, and the fires that came soon
after. I'm not sure what changed exactly, but it feels like the lost innocence,
that comes with a reminder of our relationship with the world in which we share.
