A Blue Tooth Wireless Connection is Safer for Motorists
Drivers are now required to use wireless headsets or a Blue Tooth wireless connection while talking on a cell phone while driving. This will take effect from Jan.1, 2008 and the cell-phone law in July 2008 and the state of Washington gave a green signal to this measure. This bill gives a message to all drivers all over the state that talking on your cell phone while driving is highly unsafe. States have taken action to cut down on cell phone related automobiles accidents.
As per these new laws, drivers who read and compose text messages or talk on cell phone without hand-free device could face a $101 ticket. Some states ban the use of handheld devices while driving a motor vehicle, but they allow the use of some type of Blue Tooth Wireless Connection. Lawmakers, are scared of restricting cell phones in cars may hinder the advancement of new blue tooth wireless technology for cars that maybe helpful. Devices that can be useful for motorists include blue tooth wireless headsets, and blue tooth car kits.
Richard Kovacs owner of Kovacs Wireless that sells blue tooth wireless connection products, doesn't want to outlaw cell phones in cars. He hopes they will be safer. "By being hand-free you can turn, you can shift, you can signal and most importantly you can see where your going all the time. Blue Tooth technology enables motorists to drive safer" he said.
